Auguste-Emile Bellet flourished at the end of the nineteenth century.
He was born in Chateau-briant and became a pupil of Cabaud and, later, a member of the society "Artistes Francais", which awarded him a mark of distinction in 1885.
Bellet died in 1911 but a retrospective exhibition of his work was held at the Salon in 1912.
