Tom Browne

Born in 1872 in Nottingham, England, Tom Browne was a lithographer and illustrator. Sport, including golf, was often the subject of his work. Browne was an original member of the London Sketch Club and in 1898 he was elected a member of the Royal British Society of Artists. He was made a member of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters in 1900 and The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours in 1901. In 1907 he became the President of the London Sketch Club and he died one year later in London. Tom Browne is most famous for the character he created for the Johnny Walker Company, "The Regency Buck".
