William Redmore Bigg

Born in 1755, William Redmore Bigg, became a pupil at London's Royal Academy and was elected a full member of the Academy in 1814. Specialising particularly in domestic, sporting and genre scenes, he exhibited frequently at the Royal Academy throughout his life, although his work was also shown at the Free Society and at the British Institution, where he contributed to an exhibition in 1780. William Bigg continued to exhibit his work until his death in 1828.
