Camden

Camden was born in Seattle in the late 1970s. She is a self-taught artist whose first inspiration stemmed from her interest in the natural world and in the encouragement of her mother, who was an amateur painter and sculptor. Her fascination with animals and flowers was further developed by her education and by the techniques and skills taught her by a number of mentors and art teachers. In particular, she developed at university in California her love of colour and her use of strong textures built up in layers to create depth and harmony. Now a professional artist, in addition to painting and drawing, Camden's pursuits include speed skating and choral singing, for which she has given several public performances.
