Ginger Cook

The artist Ginger Cook is based in Texas and her work will be familiar to art lovers all over the world. Ginger Cook's painting technique is highly original: she builds a medley of vibrant colours and varied layers of textured media by intertwining the bold strokes of thick impasto with softly layered translucent washes. The use of natural stucco and the combination of multiple layers in different media present the viewer with a truly three-dimensional work. Ginger Cook has been the recipient of many awards including a nomination for Artist of the Year in 2003 by the Academy of Fine Arts Foundation and her receipt of the Academy of Fine Arts Foundation's Presidential Order of Merit in the same year in recognition of her significant contributions to the betterment of humanity through art. Her paintings have been exhibited at the National Academy of Design in New York City and sold throughout the world.
