Born in Paris in 1861, Dagnaux studied landscapes with Damoye and then became a pupil of Rou. Between times, he worked on a series of panoramic scenes with Hareux. Dagnaux made his debut in 1883 at the Salon des Artistes Français and exhibited with the Sociétaire de la Nationale from 1895.
