Edward Dayes

Edward Dayes was an eminent watercolorist of landscapes and topographical views, and a mezzotint and aquatint engraver of decorative subjects after his contemporaries. Dayes was born in London in 1763, where he became a pupil of Pether. Many of his watercolours were subsequently engraved as well. Edward Dayes died in 1804.
