Stephen Darbishire

Stephen J Darbishire was born in the English Lake District in 1940. He trained under Da Fano and at the Byam Shaw School, studying under Greenham and Garrad. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition; the Royal Society of Portrait Painters; The Royal Institute of Oil Painters; the New English Art Club and annually at the Richard Hagen Gallery, Broadway, Worcester. He is a member of the Royal Society of British Artists and the Lake Artists Society. His love of the Lake District is the inspiration for his paintings, which can be found in collections throughout the world.
