Henry Garland

Born in Winchester, England in the 19th century, Henry Garland was a painter of sentimental landscape and animal paintings. He was the father of the animal painter Valentine Garland and the brother of William Garland, a contemporary artist of angling scenes. He worked actively between 1854 and 1892, exhibiting in London from 1854 to 1890 at the Royal Academy, Suffolk Street and the British Institute.
