< back Michel Gamracyj
The French artist Michel Gamracyj pursued his love of art from his very early youth and by the age of 11 he was sculpting toys for his schoolmates and painting in his spare time.
Entirely self-taught, his style has been described as `a copy of his personality: subtle and soft`. His atelier is quiet and serene, as indeed are most of his works of art, created mainly in oils or pastel and often shaded in ginger and auburn as a reminder of his origins in the south west of France.
Michel Gamracyj today lives near the Riviera in France and the Mediterranean countryside, landscape and light have become his principal source of inspiration.
