Robert Gallon

Born in 1845, Robert Gallon was widely appreciated by the English public for his enthusiasm in depicting the picturesque landscapes of Great Britain, although he also painted a number of coastal scenes. Based usually in London, he exhibited his views of beauty spots around the United Kingdom at the Royal Academy from 1873 to 1903 and at the British Institute, although not much is known about his personal life. Gallon died in 1925.
