Very little is known about the life of Le Masurier. He was a painter of the Ecole Francaise and lived in the 18th century. The Church of Saint-Germain-des-Pres in Paris has a mural featuring the deliverance of St Peter, signed by Le Masurier in 1772. Otherwise, almost no information survives about him.
