Andrew Nicholl

The talented landscape artist, Andrew Nicholl, was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1804. He lived to the age of 84, when he died in London. Regrettably, little is known about his life. Nicholl worked mainly in Ireland, where he produced works that he exhibited at the Royal Academy, London, between 1832 and 1867. His painting is highly regarded today, and a number of his water-colours are held in the collections of major museums.
