Ann Oram

Ann Oram was born in London, in 1956. She spent her childhood in the highlands of Scotland and, after her schooling, she trained to become an artist at the Edinburgh College of Art. Having finished her art education, Ann Oram became a full-time artist and joined the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Water-colours. Gaining inspiration from the Edinburgh School of painters, including Sir Robin Philipson, Anne Redpath and Gillies, she has exhibited at The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Water-colour annual exhibition, The Royal Academy annual exhibition, The Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh and at leading galleries in the U.K. During her career, Ann Oram has won many artistic awards, including The Andrew Grant Travelling Scholarship 1981, The Largo Award 1981, The Andrew Grant Major Award 1981, and, most recently, The May Marshall Brown Award from the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Water-colour.
