< back Cesare Saccaggi
This romantic Italian artist painted delightfully quixotic portrait, genre and landscape scenes in gentle pastels and water-colours.
He was born at Tortone in Italy in 1868 and was a student of the Royal Albertine Academy. Remaining in Paris following his studies, Saccaggi featured in the Salon des Artistes Français and was awarded a bronze medal in 1900 at the Exposition Universelle. He won a medal of the Third Class in 1903 and exhibited between 1895 and 1927.
The principal collection of paintings by this artist is kept by the Municipal Museum of Turin.
