Ronald Sweeney

Ronald Sweeney is one of England's most successful illustrators and designers, and his work has appeared in numerous formats and on many products. Born in the south west of England, he knew from the earliest age that he wanted to make a career of painting and drawing and recalls having had crayons or pens in his hand throughout his childhood. After leaving school, Ronald Sweeney attended a local Art & Design College, and then joined a prestigious advertising agency, where he worked on national accounts for a number of years. In his spare time, he continued to paint, draw and design, and eventually took the decision at the time of his marriage to go freelance. He now works part time on advertising and illustrating projects, but spends most of his time painting and designing for a number of galleries around the United Kingdom. His original paintings have been bought by collectors from every continent.
