This painter and lithographer was born near Amiens in 1814 and died in Paris in 1898. He exhibited at the Salon from 1841, where he won a third class medal, and a second class medal in 1857. He was named a 'Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur' in 1859 but little else is known of his life.
