The Hungarian artist, Francis Wiesenthal, was born in Kis-Topolesany on the 25th April 1856. Little is known of his life, but he is recorded as studying at Stuttgart Polytechnic and at the Vienna Academy. His major subject matters were genre scenes and portraits.
