Artist Biography:

Malva was born in Syria in 1951 and died in 2015. Described as an impressionist at times and a colourist at times, he was a very successful artist, where his paintings are a true reflection of his emotions. His inspiration usually came from the countryside surrounding his various homes in Switzerland, Tuscany, Provence and Greece. He was drawn to nature as a child and expressed this attraction early on through drawings and subsequently paintings. He held his first exhibition at the age of 17, consisting of 35 oil paintings in a style reminiscent of Van Gogh and he enjoyed immediate success. In 1978 he became an Austrian citizen and he held exhibitions throughout the world, including Vienna, Berlin, Madrid, Milan and in many different cities in the Unites States of America.
