Lindsay Hill

Artist Biography:

Entirely self-taught, Lindsay Hill has been painting horses and pets for many years. Her skill at producing superb and detailed likenesses has earned her an enviable reputation for her animal portraiture, and her work has been sold to clients in the USA and Europe, as well as throughout the UK. Establishing her reputation at horse shows, she received commissions from several top showjumpers, including a request from John Whitaker to paint the celebrated horse Milton. Other commissions have included a painting of the Queen Mother's horse The Argonaut and a commission from the Queen to paint seven of the royal corgis. Having originally established her reputation as an animal portraitist, Lindsay Hill is now receiving much acclaim for her modern works, which are usually presented in a multi-media format on stretched canvases and are created to blend in with modern décor and design. Most are also textured to add extra interest to the work.
