Kim Johnson


Artist Biography:

Kim Johnson is a graduate from the Graphic Design program at George Brown University in Toronto, Canada. She has been working in the art world for over 25 years enjoying both employment and contract work in graphic design, art direction, print production and children's educational publishing. As well as being a graphic designer, Kim is also a painter, photographer and knitter. Kim comes from a long line of artists in her family. Both of her Great Aunts were accomplished artists, one a famous miniature artist with models such as Elizabeth Taylor and The Duke of Windsor, the other a prolific sculptor in bronze and stone castings. Kim's work is primarily in watercolor and mixed media. Her love of modern art, Scandinavian design and nature are strong influences that represent Kim's work today. Her work has been published in various magazines and highlighted on some of the top design blogs. Her most recent art installation can be found hanging in all of the newly renovated guest suites of the Intercontinental Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
